Can Wiring From Stay-IN-Play DUO Controller be Connected to Tow Bar Wiring on 2014 Fiat 500

Question:

2 questions: I am installing this in a 2014 Fiat Abarth 500C along with the #15267 wiring kit 1 Do I tap into the Tow wiring kit or the existing vehicle wiring? If so, do you have any routing instructions to install the Tow Wire kit inside the car from the RV? 2The video shows a brake switch that I need. What exactly does it do and will this work without it?

Yes, you can connect the wiring from the controller that comes with the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 to the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 you've installed on your 2014 Fiat 500. I don't have any specific routing instructions for the wiring other than you'll want to avoid any hot or moving parts, and there should be a grommet or something of the sort that allows you to pass the wiring through the floorboard or kick panel to the outside of the vehicle.

You will also need to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751455 for the indicator that comes with the braking system to work properly. This kit tells the brake system when the brake pedal is being pressed which, in turn, lets you see that the indicator is lit up so you can tell when the brake pedal is pressed on your Fiat while you're traveling.. Most vehicles have a wire near the brake pedal that carries this function but your Fiat doesn't which is why the switch kit is needed.

Attached is an installation video that shows the installation of the Stay-IN-Play DUO and Stop Light Switch Kit on a 2012 Fiat for you to check out.
