How High Above Crossbar is Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier RR576

Question:

I am looking to purchase the RR576 to carry 4 snowboards. If all of the boards have high back strap in style bindings, is there a riser kit offered to lift the carrier to allow more clearance between the upside down board bindings and the roof of my vehicle? If not, do you know how high the board will be above the cross bar so I can measure if my boards will fit upside down? Also will the longer bolt kit HD-FK1 be appropriate for a heavy duty cross bar that measures 2” wide and 1” tall LFD Ruggedized Crossbars? Thank you!

While there is not a riser, I do have the measurement above the crossbar for you of the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier - Locking - 6 Pairs of Skis or 4 Boards # RR576.

The # RR576 has 3-5/8" clearance above the crossbar for your bindings, and then you can add whatever height you have from your roof to the crossbar on top of that to get the overall clearance.

As for your other question regarding the bolts, you are 100 percent correct, for a 1" tall heavy-duty crossbar, what you need is the Heavy-Duty Crossbar Adapter Kit # HD-FK1.
