Can Excel RV Tankless Water Heater be Installed in Bathroom

Question:

Hi, We are in need of a new water heater for our Airstream trailer. We are considering the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater. The old water heater was installed in a compartment under the bathroom sink cabinet. I see that the Excel Water Heater is not to be installed in a bathroom, but would this under-sink compartment be ok? Also, how much heat does the unit give off when running. I do have space behind my 12-V Everchill RV refrigerator but am concerned that the heat expended by the water heater would negatively affect the performance of my refrigerator. I live in Southwest Florida and we have 80-90 degree temps about 8 months out of the year. Thanks in advance for your help!

I reached out to the manufacturer, Excel, and they told me that their Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR can only be installed in a bathroom if it has an active ventilation system.

That means there would have to be a powered vent actively moving the air. I'm going to go ahead and assume that there is not active ventilation in the compartment under the bathroom sink and if not you would need to find another place to install the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR.

As for your other question, they weren't able to give a good estimate for how much heat it gives off when running.
