Upgrading from 4.80-12 Trailer Tires to 175/80-13 Tires on Malone Trailer

Wondering if the next size up tire from the 4.8 x 12 can be used to increase highway speed. Like the Kenda 175x13 load B

A 4.80-12 trailer tire measures 20.7" dimeter x 4.9" wide. In order to upgrade to a 175/80-13 you'll need an extra 1.65" diameter x .85" wide of space. We recommend you have at least 3" on top of the tire and 1" inside. I recommend the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 13" Galvanized Wheel part # AM31952 which has an 81 mph speed rating.
