Best Replacement Trailer Jack for a 23 Foot Jon Boat Trailer
Question:
I have a roadrunner tandem axle trailer for a 23 foot boatboat weighs 3000#. I am looking for a replacement jack. The base is welded on to the trailer so Im not sure what will work. I was looking at the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack w/ Caster - Sidewind - 10 inch Lift - 1,200 lbs, # FXP10 and wanted to know if this is the right jack

In order to determine if there is a jack that will fit the existing mount on your trailer I will need to know the make and model number of the jack that you are currently using. If that information is not available then I cannot say for sure if a different model will fit or not.
The best option is to replace the jack and not use the existing mount. To do this you can use a jack that has u-bolt brackets that attach the jack to the trailer frame. I would need to know the height and width of the frame along with the style of the frame (box, C-channel, I-beam).
You could use the Fulton jack # FXP10W0301 but you would also need to have the mounting bracket # P9012-00 welded on by a qualified professional welder. The nut size on the bracket is 1/2 inch coarse thread. The bolt is 1-1/16 inches long and is 1/2 inch coarse thread. The holes on the bracket are 3 inches apart on center. If all of this matches your existing jack you would not need the new bracket and the Fulton jack will fit.
