Recommended Blue Ox Baseplate For A 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary Edition
Question:
Will this base plate work for a 2021 Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary Edition which does NOT have tow hook? It does have adaptive cruise control. I already have the Blue Ox tow bars.

Expert Reply:
If your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary Edition is the old body style (WK) then yes, the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1128 is the correct baseplate for you.
If you have the new body (WL) then you'll need the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU39XR instead.
If you don't already have the tow bar wiring, braking system, or safety cables picked out then I have the following recommendations:
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267.
Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system comes with a remote that alerts you when the brakes are applied in your Jeep and lets you adjust the brake settings on the go. The included charge line kit will help keep your Jeep's battery charged while you tow.
Safety Cables: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643.
