Roof Rack For 2009 Toyota RAV4 With Raised Side Rails to Replace Older Thule Square Bars

Hi, can you help me. Im trying to find out about Thule #1054 rack. I would like to know if I can purchase some additional parts to make it work with my 2009 Toyota Rav4. Thanks for your time,

The Thule 1054 has been discontinued, and there are no parts available that it will work with; Thule has redesigned their roof racks and their current parts are not compatible with older parts. So what you can do is get a new roof rack for your 2009 Toyota RAV4, and honestly spend less than what you would trying to reconfigure an old Thule rack. You can do this with a Malone rack that fits the raised side rails of your Toyota:

- Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG215

The AirFlow2 # MPG215 is not only a less expensive alternative than what you were looking to do, it also uses aero bars compared to the square bars of the Thule rack. So they will be much quieter, and also have T-slots you can mount accessories in, which is simpler than having to clamp everything around the square bars. Finally, the # MPG215 bars are aluminum so they aren't going to rust, while the older Thule square bars are steel that will eventually corrode.
