Troubleshooting Lack Of Power For An iRV63 RV Stereo System

Question:

I hooked the wires Yellow to power Black to ground, I checked the plug and I have 12 volts to the plug. When i plug it into the radio I do not have any power. I have tried holding down the power button for 5 seconds. Nothing works. When I received this unit inside the shipping box it looked it someone tried to open it partially? I am guessing that I need a new one.

The yellow wire is going to be your fused power which will run directly to your battery. There will need to be a 15 amp fuse in the fuse holder otherwise the no power will pass through to the stereo. If you have a fuse in there check it for continuity the ensure that it's not the cause of the issue. You can also prick into the wire between the fuse and stereo to quickly see if it's sending 12v through the fuse.

You'll want to also hook the red wire to the ACC wire coming from the ignition of your 2008 Winnebago Access Motorhome.

I've attached the wiring diagram of the iRV RV Stereo # IRV64FR below to help you with the installation process.

If all wiring is correct and you are getting a full 12 volts at the stereo and the ground has also been checked for continuity and it still will not power on then I recommend replacing the unit.
