Can An Excel RV Tankless Water Heater Be Installed In A 1999 Coleman Utah Pop-Up Camper
Question:
I have a 1999 Coleman Utah CP popup It only has a fresh water tank Can the EXcell RV Tankless water heater be installed in it. Would it be able to be put in front storage area?

Per the manufacturer, Excel, the Excel RV Tankless On-Demand Water Heater # EX93FR has to be installed upright with the vent facing upwards. Other than that the only other installation restriction is to not install it in a bathroom or bedroom so you can install it wherever you have the space for it. It just requires 3" of clearance on the sides and 8" of clearance above.
This water heater is vent free because it is outfitted with an ODS (Oxygen Depletion Safety shutoff device) system that will shut off power to the unit to maintain proper oxygen levels in your RV. This is why the manual states not to install it in the bathroom or bedroom. If yo installed it in the front storage you would most likely just need to open the side door (if yours has one) to allow for enough airflow.
