Will a Fixed 5th Wheel Hitch Work on a 2010 Ford F-150 with a 5-1/2 ft Bed

I have a 2010 F150 Crew Cab with a 5.5foot box. Can I install a hitch that will not require a slid mechanism?

Yes you can. In fact, a fixed fifth wheel hitch and a Sidewinder or Revolution pin box is recommended for trucks with beds shorter than 6 ft. The Reese 16K Fixed Fifth Wheel Hitch, # RP30047, and Custom Install Kit, # RP50081-58, will fit your truck and it is a good economical option. I would not recommend using a sliding fifth wheel hitch with a Revolution pin box because that will extend the pin weight of the trailer too far back on the truck.
