Thule Roof Rack and Hullavator Fitment for 2016 Toyota Prius
Question:
I have read your information and guidelines about what components to use with my prius 2016. I want to be sure I buy the right set of pieces to make this work. I have to install the setup myself. questions: you describe the wing evo cross bars as after market. What does this mean? Are they from Thule? If t any of the components I buy from you do not fit together properly, will you pay return shipping? which feet should I buy? Thank you.

The Thule WingBar Evo roof rack is a great option for your 2016 Toyota Prius as long as you have the normal roof (not the glass roof). I really like this roof rack because it's easier to install than pretty much every other roof rack, it looks really sleek, and it pairs nicely with the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist # TH898. Here are all the parts you need:
53" WingBar Evo Crossbars - # TH711400
Evo Clamp Feet - # TH710501
Fit Kit - # TH145029
Lock Core Kit - # TH450400 (optional)
If you do want to add the locks then I recommend picking up the kit with 6 cores, part # TH450600, so you can lock the roof rack as well as the Hullavator all with 1 key.
Aftermarket simply means it isn't from the factory. If you were to install a "Genuine Toyota Roof Rack" on your Prius then that would be considered factory. These parts will fit together and are compatible with the normal (non glass) roof on your Prius. If something is shipped incorrectly or damaged we definitely take care of our customers. Attached is a link to our returns policy for you to reference.
Attached is a review video for the Hullavator for you to check out as well.
