Recommended Baseplate For A 2016 Lincoln MKS Ecoboost With Adaptive Cruise Control

I am looking at buying a 2016 Lincoln MKS ecoboost with adaptive cruise and I have a Roadmaster crossbar hitch. According to Roadmaster their 524440-4A base plate will work but according to your website, you do not handle a baseplate for that model of car.

According to Roadmaster the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-524440-4 will fit the 3.7 and 3.5 Eco Boost only. Most likely there was a loss in translation between our fitguide and Roadmaster's since it's displayed as only a fit for non-ecoboost models. If you have a 3.5L or 3.7L Ecoboost then you'll be fine with the # RM-524440-4.

This baseplate has a crossbar style connection point so you'll be able to connect to your Roadmaster crossbar style tow bar. If you don't already have the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations:

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will allow your motorhome's braking and turn signals to display through your MKS's tail lights.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system has a remote to display when your brakes are being activated in your MKS and will also allow you to adjust the braking settings on the go. The included charge line kit will help keep your MKS's battery charged while you tow.

Safety Cables: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643. The coiled design of these cables will help keep them up off of the ground.
