Is a 2006 Fleetwood Tioga Pre-Wired For an Electric Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2006 Ford E450 Super Duty Fleetwood Tiago RV. It has the 7 pin trailer connector. I just bought a new tandem axle trailer with electric brakes. The RV does not have a break controller. Is it likely that this vehicle is pre wired for electric brakes? If yes can you recommend a plug and play electric brake controller?

Expert Reply:
It's possible the 2006 Fleetwood Tioga is prewired for an electric trailer brake controller. In order to confirm simply look for the brake controller harness under the dash near the emergency brake pedal (if equipped). If present you can install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 which is what I recommend using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3035-P.
