Recommended Underbed 5th Wheel and Gooseneck System for 2022 GMC 2500HD

I have a solution for you that will give you an underbed system but there is no way to add an aftermarket OEM puck system to your 2022 GMC Sierra 2500. Instead, you will need to use the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches item # BWGNRK1020-5W. This will give you a way to attach a B&W 5th wheel hitch that is similar to the puck system. The B&W Companion hitches are the only ones compatible with this system. Instead of having four pucks and a hole in the center for a gooseneck hitch you will only have a square hole in the center of your truck bed. This will allow you to retain full use of your bed when you are not towing and provides the same easy to install and removal of a 5th wheel hitch function. I have linked an installation video below that we did on this exact truck last year.

I recommend the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3400-5W. B&W makes the best and most reliable 5th wheel hitches in the towing business. It has a towing capacity of 20,000 lbs. The slider gives you 12" of travel for backing into tight spaces and making sharp turns.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56000 to your 2022 GMC 2500. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
