Can Self-Adjusting Brakes Be Manually Adjusted  

Question:

nowhere does it indicate which way the screw should be turned, Is it turned up to loosen brakes or turned down to loosen brakes? we are troubleshooting the brakes and this is our next step.

The Self-Adjusting Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA should only ever be adjusted manually by a professional. These brakes have a one way adjuster that only allows you to tighten the brakes and will not allow you to back them off without removing the hub. To tighten them you would spin the screw up with your Brake Adjustment Spoon # W80630.
