Where is the Inertia Sensor in the Blue Ox Patriot 3 and Brake Buddy Portable Braking Systems

Question:

So unlike brake buddy blue-ox needs the remote to sense inertia to apply the brakes where as brake buddy has the inertia switch built in to the unit so it doesn’t need a wireless remote if you don’t have one?

Expert Reply:

The inertia sensor is inside of the main unit of the Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR, not in the remote. The same as the Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494.

While not recommended, the Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR can be used without the RF controller if deemed necessary. But, it is recommended to use the controller for the operational feedback.
