How much clearance is needed with the fender

We recommend having 4" of clearance from tire treads to any fenders, including the Tandem Axle Trailer Fenders # HP22FR. This gives you enough leeway for the trailer suspension to flex up and down during travel without your tires rubbing against the fenders.
You can install this fender using mounting brackets like part # CE26098G-2.
