Will Use of T-One Harness 118384 For Extra Lights Cause 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 to Detect Trailer
Question:
If I use this harness to wire up a back up alarm and additional reverse lights and break lights will my 2022 2500 HD assume I’m towing a trailer?

Expert Reply:
The use of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118384 for additional lights and a backup alarm will result in your truck detecting a trailer. Anything that draws power on your 2022 Silverado 2500 trailer wiring will make your truck think a trailer has been hooked up. If you don't want that to happen you would have to wire the additional lights and alarm in directly instead of using a 4-way.
