Bike Rack And Trailer Hitch Confirmed To Fit A 2015 Lincoln MKC

Question:

Hi, I am looking for a lightweight rack to put on my 2015 Lincoln MKC. My motorized liftgate doesnt accommodate a trunk rack, and so I will need to have a hitch installed and buy a hitch rack. I am an elderly woman and so need something lightweight that I can put on easily and will also load my bike easily. My questions are... - Is this a good fit for my car? - Will this fit my Electra Loft 7D cruiser bike? - Am I able to load my one bike on the outside carrying position? - if not, can I fold down the mast to load onto the inner position, rather than lifting it over the mast as they do in the review videos? Thanks for your help. All of this seems way harder than it should be for me to be able to take my bike to alternate places to ride other than my neighborhood! Let me know if you have other suggestions or can think of anything else I should know. Thanks again,

Yes the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR that you inquired about will work great with your Electra Loft 7D cruiser bikes, as this rack has a maximum weight capacity of 35-lbs per bikes (yours clocks in at 30-lbs), and has a maximum wheelbase width of 48" (yours comes in at 42").

Along with your Electra Loft bikes being compatible, this bike rack is also a great fit for your 2015 Lincoln MKC, and with this bike rack being only 20-lbs you shouldn't have any issues lifting and/or manipulating it.

Since your bike is lighter than the 35-lbs capacity, you will be able to load one of your bikes on the outside carrier. Typically you'd want to load your bike to the inside to avoid unnecessary stress and movement to the rack and vehicle.

In addition, you are also able to fold down the center mast should you choose to do so.

Finally, if you don't already have a hitch installed, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13194 is a great option that is guaranteed to fit your Lincoln, and has a gross trailer weight limit of 3,500-lbs, and a maximum tongue weight of 350-lbs, giving you plenty of carrying capacity.
