Where to Position 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Rails in the Bed of a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Long Bed
Question:
I have a 2013 2500Hd Silverado with 8 foot bed. I am installing a Draw-tite double action 5th wheel. I will be using RP50066 brackets and want to know how to determine where to drill the holes in the bed to match up to the holes in the brackets? Thanks for any help you can give me.

In order to locate the rails in the truck bed to drill the holes to attach to the under bed brackets follow these steps.
First, measure from the rear edge of the bed (not the tailgate) forward 29-3/8 inches. This is where the back edge of the rear rail will be. Make sure it is centered side to side. Then use the hitch, placing the feet in the slots of the rear rail, to locate the front rail. Make sure it is straight as well. Then you can use a center punch to mark the spots to drill.
I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you to view for 5th wheel installation kit # RP50066-58 for your 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD long bed.
