Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2019 GMC Acadia  

Question:

Hi, I am interested in a RV towing setup for 2018-19 GMC Acadia. Something similar to this: Do you have a recommended local expert I live in 60202? Also, is there a reason the above recommendation goes with a removal brake controller versus a fixed system? I am leaning towards a fixed system, and wondered what youd recommend as an overall package and if anything has shifted since the expert article posted above. Thanks!

The parts mentioned are great for flat towing your 2019 GMC Acadia:

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1728
Blue Ox Alpha # BX7380
Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
Quick Battery Disconnect # RM-766
Blue Ox Patriot II # BLU37TR
12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332

Some people prefer the removable braking system since there isn't a longer initial install but if you prefer a permanent install the SBS DUO part # SM99251 is the way to go as it has the easiest install, works really well, and is a favorite of our installers.

The Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420 would be what I would recommend as a tow bar though as it's longer arms allow the vehicle to track better.
