Roof Rack and Cargo Carrier for a 2022 Lexus GX 460 with Factory Flush Side Rails

Question:

Hi, I have a 2022 Lexus GX 460 and I have a question in regards to the Yakima Ridgeline system for the fixed track using Landing Pad #30 for the Lexus GX 460. In order to use this system with LP#30, do I have to remove the factory flush rails? If so, what is the recommended rack/cross bar set up keeping the factory flush rails in place? I do not wish to remove the factory rails. What rooftop cargo box would fit best this system? Thank you very much!

According to the installation instructions for the Landing Pad 30 for Yakima SkyLine And Control Towers # Y25ZR, you will have to remove the flush mounted side rails to mount the landing pads.

I do have another option for you that does not require the removal of your flush mounted rails. The 2022 Lexus GX 460 Roof Rack by Inno which uses the Custom Fit Kit for Inno # INTR152 will not require the removal of your rails.

I have included a photo of this fit kit on a Lexus GX 460 so you can see that the flush rails are still in place.

The Custom Fit Kit for Inno # INTR152 will pair with the Inno Aero Crossbars # INXB123-130 and Inno Through Feet for Aero Crossbars # INXS350 to provide you with a complete roof rack.

This will allow you to use a cargo carrier like the Inno Box 2020 Rooftop Cargo Box # IN86FR which has a dual-side-opening lid that offers easy access from either side of your vehicle and a nice matte black finish.
