If you have this tonneau cover, then the correct replacement tarp is the:
-Replacement Tarp for Extang BlackMax Soft Tonneau Cover # EX1630.
This is a snap-on style tarp likeyou mentioned, and is a confirmed fit for your 2004 Ford Ranger with a 6' bed.
