We have the perfect trailer hitch that is confirmed to fit your 2022 Chevrolet Equinox!
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e59ZR has a bolt on installation with no welding required. It has a matte black powder coat finish that is over a protective base coat that offers a superior rust resistance.
The trailer hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 4,500 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 675 pounds. I recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find the proper towing capacity of your Chevrolet Equinox.
If you're going to tow a trailer you will need the following parts. For a wiring harness I recommend the # C94FR which will give you a 4-flat connector and make it to where your trailer's stop, turn, and taillights mirror your vehicle's stop, turn, and taillights. The harness plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind your rear bumper, on the driver's side.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. The Mounting Brackett # 18144 (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
The Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2 inch Hitches # C45554 includes an 8-1/4 inch long, powder coated ball mount with a pre-torqued hitch ball; hitch pin and clip; hitch receiver lock with keys; hitch cover; and a storage case.
I attached a few installation video links below.
