Parts Needed to Add 7-Way to 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Question:
Hi, I have an 2008 FJ Cruiser. I installed the Teknosha 118405 T-one Conector 4 pin. I will rarely pull my small RV with the FJ I got a Tundra for that but I want to have the option for 7 pin with a break controller the FJ as a backup What do I need to convert to 7 pin and use a Brake controller? I am planning using the Wireless Curt Echo C51180 or maybe using my existing Teknosha P3 that I could be switching when needed from my other truck. Any suggestions? Thanks

Appreciate all that info, and you're off to a good start as you already have the first part needed for your 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser to get a working 7-way, which is the 4-way T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118405.
The other part you'll need to get a 7-way is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
You'll plug your 4-way into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, and the kit also includes the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation. With this installed, you can add a brake controller, such as the Echo you mentioned, the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
