Hi. I see you sell a 2” hitch for Prius. I have a Kuat bike rack I’d like to use to haul 2 bikes with my 2009 Prius, and am tempted to order and install it. However, I see various recommendations on this site. Is it an ok reliable/safe thing to do? This is the hitch I’m considering. The bike rack requires 2 inch hitch. -EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7196 with your 2009 Toyota Prius with a Kaut bike rack like # B202-2.
This hitch has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000-lbs and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 200-lbs, however you'll want to consult your owners manual for your vehicles towing capacity and ensure you are using the lowest capacity between the hitch and your vehicle.
