Recommended Towing Parts for a 2017 Ford Edge
Question:
I have a 2 Draw-Tite class III hitch from you installed on a 2017 Ford Edge sel. Im looking to bring home a small tear trailer and would like your opinion on what I would need.

In addition to the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75234 you'll at least need wiring, a brake controller, and a ball mount.
For wiring use the T-One # 118669 as it's the most reliable that we've found. You'll also need additional wiring for a rake controller - when I checked the online manual for your 2017 Ford Edge it stated that any trailer over 1,500 lbs requires a brake controller. For this I recommend the Wiring Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L so you can use the Curt Echo # C51180. This is a wireless brake controller that not only saves space on the inside of your vehicle but also has an easier installation when it comes to what's needed for the wiring.
Then you can use a standard ball mount kit like the Curt # C45554 which comes with everything you need to complete your towing system.
