Does Handsfree Tailgate of 2018 Lexus RX 450h Still Function with Curt Trailer Hitch

Question:

I have been told by a Lexus dealer that aftermarket trailer hitches for a Lexus RX450h will interfere w the kick sensor that enables hands free closing of the back hatch. Is there an aftermarket hitch for the RX 450h that will not interfere, or a way to install one that does not interfere w the kick sensor? If so is it available for a 2022 model year? Thanks

With the Curt # C56434 that fits your 2018 Lexus RX 450H we have found that the handsfree liftgate is still functional but you'll just need to kick to either side of the hitch opening. There isn't a different option that doesnt require doing this.
