Roof Rack Fit For 2015 Subaru Forester w/ Raised Rails & 2017 Honda Accord Sedan

Question:

I would like to purchase a roof rack that can be used for 2 cars. The first car is a 2015 Subaru Forester with factory installed rails and the second car is a 2017 Honda Accord Sedan without existing rails. Id like the aerodynamic rack if possible and to be able to use the rack for both vehicles. Please advise.

There are roof racks for either your 2015 Subaru Forester with raised rails or 2017 Honda Accord sedan, but no roof rack that is going to fit both vehicles. The reason is they use both different length crossbars and attach to your respective vehicles differently. A rack will use feet that attach to the Forester's rails, while Accord uses feet and a fit kit that clamp onto the door jambs.

So you'd need a rack for both vehicles, or choose the vehicle you think you'll use the most and get a rack for that one only. For either I recommend a Rhino-Rack roof rack because it is the best value for a roof rack; Rhino-Rack's quality is equal to similar brands, but at a better price point because you aren't paying extra for a specific brand name printed on the crossbars. Here's what you'll need for either car:

2015 Subaru Forester with Raised Rails
- Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2

- Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs # RRSX100

2017 Honda Accord Sedan
- Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA137B-2

- Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA

- Custom DK Fit Kit # DK359

Both racks use aero crossbars like you wanted, which is a smart choice as their shape - along with the bars' rubberized vortex strips on top - disrupt air flow, to help eliminate the whistling nose that can occur with other styles of crossbar. The bars are also made from anodized aluminum, which is not only rustproof but extremely durable, as evidenced by their lifetime warranty.
