Can You Use a Hitch Ball With a 1" Shank On The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch?  

Question:

I have a Forest River/Shamrock that uses a 2-5/16 inch ball. My current ball has a 1 inch diameter shank 2 inches long. Can I adapt my ball for the FA92-00-0600 hitch? Do you know of a 2-5/16 ball with the 1-1/4 inch shank? If not can you suggest a weight dist. hitch for my trailer? I has an empty weight of 4090 lbs and a tough weight about 450lbs.

Since the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA94-00-0600 has a 1-1/4" hole for a 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100 you will need a Hitch Ball Bushing # F-2 to use your 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40007 with a 1" shank. This will prevent the ball from moving around inside the larger opening on the hitch.
