Hitch Extension for Towing on 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 with In-Bed Camper
Question:
We are switching from Super C to Truck with camper. We would still like to flat tow our Chevy Colorado ZR2 on occasion. We will need at least 18 inches of extension to make it past the end of the truck camper. Is there a way for me to flat tow my truck about 5500 pounds fully loaded with the OEM 2.5 inch hitch? Will I need to upgrade to a torklift setup?

In order to obtain an extension with this length and weight capacity you'll indeed need to upgrade to the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver part # TLC1211-30 which will replace the factory hitch and allow you to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers part # TLE1521 which will have a 7,500 lb weight capacity and 21" extension.
