We have the parts that you need to flat tow your 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with your Roadmaster Sterling tow bar. You will need at least 4 other parts. Those parts being a base plate kit, safety cables, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system. I have included those parts for you below, along with a brief description of their purpose.
Base Plate Kit: This is a custom fit part for your Jeep that provides the attachment points for your tow bar.
- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521424-5 (compatible with your Jeep and Sterling Tow bar)
Safety Cables: Provides security if your tow bar should come unattached.
- Roadmaster 80" Hybrid Coiled-to-Straight Safety Cables # RM-674
Tow Bar Wiring: Allows you to connect your motorhomes tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your Jeep and prevent feedback.
- Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-152-1676-7
Supplemental Braking System: This is what allows you to safely travel with and stop your Jeep when flat towing.
- Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. You will also need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 for proper operation.
You may also need a high-low adapter to keep your tow set-up level. I have attached a help article that goes over this. I have also linked our selection of high-low adapter so you can select the correct one, if one is needed.
