Can Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Install with 10 Gauge Wire Instead of 12

Question:

10AWG vs 12AWG hey folks in your install video I see yall are using 10AWG duplex with the 30 amp circuit breaker. In the Redarc wire diagram its showing 12AWG wires from the controller. Im assuming its okay to use 10AWG or yall wouldnt be using it in the video? but I just wanted to double check. I bought 10, but then saw the diagram and now Im thinking maybe I should be using 12? : Thanks very much,

Using 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 when installing the Redarc Tow Pro Elite # RED44FR is perfectly fine. Using heavier gauge wire than maybe needed has no real downside except maybe that it costs a little more. So you are totally fine.
