Recommended Trailer Brake Controller For A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
Question:
I have to buy and install a brake controller before I pick up my new 26BH and was wondering if about this one? Seems a lot lower in price than most Ive seen. I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500.

When it comes to installing a trailer brake controller on your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 I would recommend The Tekonsha prodigy P3 # 90195 over The Draw-Tite Activator # 5504.
The P3 is a proportional controller which will automatically level when mounted within a 90-degree vertical range. It has a digital display and has 3 boost levels that will let you adjust the initial braking power and aggressiveness. The main difference between the Primus and The Activator is that the P3 activates immediately with the activator which is a time delayed controller pauses before activating.
The P3 also comes with the plug and play adapter # 3016, with one plug plugging into the back of the controller and the other one plugging in underneath the dash.
I attached a couple installation video links below.
