How to Carry 3 Bikes on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback
Question:
Hi, The bike rack I found warns that no more than 2 bikes should be carried on a class I hitch. I need to carry 3 bikes. Is there any class 2 that will fit the Elantra GT? Thanks for your help.

At this time there are only Class I trailer hitches available for the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT. What I recommend is to use a trunk mount bike rack that can handle up to 3 bikes. I have included a link to the trunk mount racks that fit your vehicle and can hold 3 bikes.
Out of this list I recommend the Thule OutWay # TH56BV. I own this rack myself and it is by far the easiest rack to use that I have encountered. What makes it so easy are the 2 retractable cables it uses instead of 6 straps that other racks use. The cables will also last longer than straps and because the slack is held inside the rack there is no messy install.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
