Removing Cap from Wiring Harness Behind Battery of 2012 Outlander to Install # 118518 Trailer Wiring

how to remove the plug off the wiring behind the head light to attach the new wire with the fuse to the battery

To remove the protective cap on the wiring connector, there is a release button on the side of the connector. Push and hold the button while pulling off the cap. You might need to use a set of locking pliers to get enough grip on the cap, but make sure not to damage the connector itself.
You can see the button I am speaking of in the photo I have edited for you.
