The Fulton Outboard Motor Lock # FOML0127 is a universal-fit item intended to fit a broad range of motors. However, it will work only outboard motors that have the swivel handles that are used to tighten the mounting bolts that secure the motor to the transom.
Your Yamaha F250 outboard has, according to the online manual I found, a weight (without propeller) of 604-lbs. The manual does not provide much detail about the mounting scheme but it appears to be a semi-permanent installation with an integrated bracket. This is not compatible with either of the outboard motor locks we offer.
I contacted Yamaha and I was advised that a simple padlock can be used to lock the clamp bracket mounts to prevent motor removal. We offer a variety of locks, such as # RM-305, but you can choose any that has the appropriate diameter shackle to fit the hole in the clamp bracket. This particular lock has a 1/4-inch diameter shackle. The link provided will take you to our main page for padlocks.
