Question:
Want to install electric brakes on my trailer and it has a 2900 lb spring axle what brakes and hub assembly do I need?

Expert Reply:
The 2,900 lb trailer axles have the same spindle dimensions as the 3,500 lb axles so for a hub drum you'd want the # DX68XR and then for brake assemblies # AKEBRK-35-SA for a set of self-adjusting assemblies. The other things you might also need is 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which you'd need to use to wire up the assemblies and then if you have a 4-way wiring setup currently you'd want the Epicord Junction Box # 277-000141 to convert to a 7-way.
