Max Crossbar Spread of Thule WingBar Roof Rack on 2019 Toyota Highlander with Side Rails

Question:

Can cross bars be mounted on either or both of the farthest apart ~1inch cover bolts. I have an 18 ft kayak, so an additional distance between the crossbars would make it much more stable. There can be a great deal of back and forth rocking when the bars are 24inch apart. There is a single bolt in place at those spots, which would have to be swapped out by a slightly longer bolt. What does that bolt attach to?

The Thule WingBar Evo Crossbar System for a 2019 Toyota Highlander composed of part # TH711420, part # TH710401, and part # THKIT3134 can be configured to obtain a 30" crossbar spread per the mfg. using the fixed points on the vehicle's roof side rails. If you need a larger spread then you'll need a load extender like the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar part # RTL002.
