Troubleshooting No Left Turn Signal on T-1 Wiring Harness for a 2006 Jeep Liberty

Question:

Installed T1 last spring on 06 Jeep Liberty.I used it last week and I have no left turn signal.Checked yellow wire into box and had power,but no power out.Installation was very easy

If you are checking the harness, item # 118524, without the trailer hooked up and there is no power on the yellow left turn circuit coming out of the converter, then you will need to check the ground wire on the vehicle and be sure it is securely connected to a good ground point. Then check the connectors behind the taillights and be sure they are securely connected. If all checks out then your converter has shorted out somehow and will need to be replaced.

If you are checking the yellow wire with the trailer connected there could be a problem with the trailer wiring. I would start by checking all of the ground connections on the trailer. The taillights are suspect for ground problems especially if they are grounded through their mounting bolts. if all the ground connections are solid, look for a broken pinched or frayed wire. If you cannot find any thing wrong on the trailer then check the vehicle side with the trailer unhooked as stated above.
