Extended Drop Shank For Equal-i-zer Hitch To Allow Rear Hatch Door On 2015 Ford Expedition To Open

Question:

I have a 2015 Ford Expedition EL XLT with an Equil-i-Zer 10k WDH and a 2022 Apex Nano 213RDS. My current electric tongue jack that I love, wont allow my liftgate to open. Unfortunately I need to swap it out for something that allows me to open the liftgate in the event that I need to get my dogs out. Is there an electric tongue jack that is very short, a side electric tongue jack for my trailer or a longer shank thats still safe? My current jack is a Phoenix 5500 and the lifegate hits it about 15 inches up. Thank you!

You can retain your Phoenix 5,500LB Jack # UF38-944055 on your 2022 Apex Nano 213RDS by adding an extended shank. The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4500 is 6" longer than the shank that came with your Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET. We also have the Shank # EQ90-02-4600 that give you up to a 4" drop or 8" rise versus the other shank with 3" drop and 7" rise.

You can verify that you will be able to open your rear hatch on your 2015 Ford Expedition by offsetting your current hitch setup 6" from the trailer ball coupler.
