Wiring Kit For 2014 Ford Flex That Will Isolate Voltage From an RV
Question:
Re 2014 Ford Flex SEL, no LED lights Will the TM782048 operate the rear stop and turn signal lamps AND also isolate the voltage from the towing vehicle an RV from the Flex electrical system i.e. its computers? Thanks

The best option for isolating the RV wiring from the wiring of your 2014 Ford Flex is to use a magnetic set of tow lights. I recommend using the Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2100.
This wiring kit will keep the RV lighting completely separate from your 2014 Ford Flex wiring. If this is your primary concern this is the best option that we currently offer for the 2014 Ford Flex.
another option we offer for a 2014 Ford Flex is Roadmaster Universal Tow Bar Wiring # RM-154 kit. It is intended to protect your Ford Flex wiring from feedback from the RV. However, this system is still plugged into your vehicle wiring, and it is possible to back feed to the RV. The Roadmaster kit installs using a diode system in-line with your Ford Flex wiring. This system is designed to separate the vehicle wiring from the RV tow wiring system, but to completely isolate the signal your best bet is the magnetic light kit.
If you do not already have the following items to flat tow your 2014 Ford Flex you may want to consider the following recommendations for your flat towing set-up.
Tow bar - Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plates # RM-524435-4 is a confirmed fit a 2014 Ford Flex excluding the Ecoboost with adaptive cruise (they are compatible with the Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2 tow bars.
Safety Cable Set - Roadmaster Safety Cables # RM-643
Tow Bar Wiring - Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring # RM-2120
Supplemental Braking System - Roadmaster Tow Bar Braking System # RM-9060
I have included links to the parts listed above, videos if available, and a couple of helpful articles about flat towing for your reference.
