Recommended Wiring Harness For A 1994 Civic Hatchback

Question:

I have an EG Civic that does not have the factory connector, but it would be trivial to wire one in if I could obtain the mate to the car-side connector on a C55336. Adding that enables the ability to remove the C55336 when not in use so it doesnt get damaged by whatever Im hauling around in the back. Does etrailer or Curt sell one, or, do you know the part number for it?

When it comes to installing a trailer wiring harness on a 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback I recommend The Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester # 119178KIT. Your vehicle does not have a plug n play option that is confirmed to fit your vehicle. To keep it from getting damaged during non use you can get The Mounting Bracket # 18144 which will attach to your trailer hitch. The 4 plug connector will then be stowed away underneath the vehicle and out of the way.

The Tekonsha harness will adapt a 3-wire system on the towing vehicle to work with a 2-wire system on the trailer. This harness works with trailers that have either LED or incandescent bulbs. In a three wire system, a separate wire is used to carry each of the stop, turn, and running light functions to the tail light assembly. On most trailers, the stop and turn signal functions are sent through the same wire.

I attached an installation video link below to help with the process.
