What Tap Size to Use for Bolt Holes on the Curt Hitch # 13575
Question:
I have the Curt 13575 hitch and bolts but the frame holes are corroded and none of the bolts will thread. I used WD40 and a wire brush but no luck. The advice is to use a tap. What is the dimensions of the TAP?

If you need to use a tap to tap out the threads for installing the Curt Trailer Hitch - 2" # 13575, you need to use a M8x1.25 and M12x1.25 tap. This are the sizes of the frame bolts used on the hitch. I went ahead and attached a helpful article and a screenshot of the parts list that shows the bolt sizes.
