Does Andersen Ultimate Gooseneck Adapter Require Ford OEM Rail Kit Adapter  

Question:

Cant we just use a gooseneck ball on the puck system to attach the standard Andersen hitch? I saw a thread where you stated we had to use the adapter for a price of $ which I dont think is true. The Ford puck system has a gooseneck puck.

Andersen does make a version of the Ultimate that does attach to a gooseneck ball but we do not carry that version. We had issues with it if I remember correctly. So we have the option of offering you the Reese Ford rail kit adapter part # RP30156 which will fit your Ford pucks to use the # AM3200. Or for a similar adapter that would attach to your gooseneck ball you could use the Demco Recon part # DM8550045 which provides more of a traditional fifth wheel hitch solution but still attaches to a gooseneck ball.
