B&W Companion or a Demco Hijacker? Which is Better for a 2021 Ford F-250?

So, we recently purchased a 2021 Ford F250 long bed that did not come with the factory Gooseneck/Fifth Wheel Package. We are looking to purchase a Fifth Wheel camper and I am pretty much dead set on using an Demco Hijacker hitch to tow. Two primary reasons the truck is a daily driver and we use the bed, and second we have many friends who have used both conventional fifth wheel and all swear that the Hijacker works great. Now, on to the real question. When looking for the aftermarket gooseneck addition kits I am finding another option. The thing that keeps coming up is the BandW Turnoverball kit. Which option would you recommend?

The Demco Hijacker Premier Series Double Pivot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # DM6076P-21K you referenced is a great hitch and would definitely get the job done. As far as ease of access and using your bed goes you will need the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit item # DM8552031-71 to use this hitch. These rails do take up space inside your bed.

The best option will be your second choice and that is the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # BWGNRK1116. The turnover ball system allows you to completely access your bed when you are not using your 5th wheel hitch. This system is custom fit for your F-250 and mounts beneath your bed. The B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # BWRVK3500-5W mounts inside the turnover ball system and has a 20,000 lbs capacity.

The B&W Companion weighs over 200 lbs. If that's not something you're interested in moving by yourself and don't want to have to rely on someone to help you then I recommend purchasing the B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device for Companion and Patriot Hitches item # BWRVXA3130.
