Can Kuat RackDock Store Bike Racks Vertically

Question:

After installing the dock to the wall stud as recommended, can I rotate the bike rack 180 degrees and install it vertically in the dock to save even more space? I have a Kuat Rack I bought in 2014. I believe it is a 2.0 with a Trail dock. Its pretty heavy by itself.

That's a good thought but no, you do need to have your bike rack mounted horizontally on the DockRack, or the same way it would be installed if it were on the back of your vehicle. The DockRack also can't be installed turned to the side to get your bike rack vertical; I did check with Kuat on this just to make sure.

The DockRack is an easy install, screwing into wooden studs, and is available in either black or orange:
