Charging Auxiliary Battery in Bed of Truck that is Towing Trailer
Question:
I want to supply power to recharge an extra battery located in my truck bed while also using the 7 way to supply power to the camper I am pulling.

Expert Reply:
To charge an aux battery like what you have in the bed of your truck you really just need to run wire from the positive terminal of your primary battery or alternator post to the positive post of the aux battery. A simple way to do that would be to run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) through a breaker like part # 9510. The heavier the gauge the wire is the more of a charge it would put out. This won't interfere with your 7-way at all.
