Will the GasStop Emergency Propane Shut-Off Valve Stop Fires While Driving
Question:
While the debate about running a Class C refrigerator on LP while underway goes on, is the GasStop valve with a POL connection adequate to prevent fires if an accident occurs on the road?

Expert Reply:
The GasStop Emergency Propane Shut-Off Valve part # GS84FR will absolutely help to prevent fires as it will stop the accelerant to the fire from continuing to burn when a leak is detected. This will be true whether you are moving or stopped. There is also another option for propane leak detection, the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector part # RS54FR. This won't stop the gas flow like the valve but it will alert you to a leak so you can take action. It's mostly effective when stationary.
