Height of Yakima EXO # Y44ZR from Bottom of Lower Arms to Top of GearLocker Cargo Box on Top Tray
Question:
With the yakima exo double tier system. Cargo basket on the bottom and the lockable box on top. What's the total height from the bottom of the basket to the top of the box on the top tier? Looking at putting it on the front hitch of my truck but unsure of hood-windshield clearance for driving

While you can technically use the Yakima Exo Swing Away Storage System # Y44ZR on a front hitch, I confirmed with Yakima that they haven't physically tested that application.
With that being said, I do have the measurement you requested. The height from the bottom of the arm to the top of the GearLocker box on the top level is 43" tall. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows this height.
If you have a front hitch installed on your 2022 Ford F-150, I recommend measuring the center of the pinhole to the outside surface of your front bumper. As long as that measurement does not exceed 4-1/4" long, you won't have any issues with front bumper clearance when using the # Y44ZR. If you find that you need more length, I recommend using the Yakima StraightShot # Y69VR to add an additional 7-1/4" to the setup. It is important to note that you decrease the overall weight capacity of your hitch by 50% when using a hitch extender.
If you need a front hitch, the best and only option is the Draw-Tite - 2" # 65067. This model works if you happen to have an auto deploying air dam. While we do not have the exact measurements from the center of the pinhole to the outside face of the bumper on a 2022 Ford F-150, we do have that measurement for a 2018 Ford F-150. Since the measurement on a 2018 model measures 6", you most likely need the # Y69VR on your 2022 model.
